Alcanza 3 metros de alto, y se adapta a sol filtrada en tierras altas, o pleno sol al nivel del mar.
 
This brilliant red fuzzy heliconia sprouted from a seed here in the garden. It reaches about 9ft. in height and does best in filtered sun in the highlands, or full sun at sea level.
